Teton Arts Council presents

ART-REACH bringing art into our classrooms

The aim of ArtReach is to support area schools in providing art education to its students. Art is a critical component of every child's educational experience.  It contributes to whole brain development and teaches cooperative learning, problem solving, and self-direction as well as an appreciation for art in and of itself.  In art class there is no right or wrong answer and all ideas are valid; a welcome part of anyone's day!

The Teton Arts Council has created several art kits for classroom use.

Each kit comes with art supplies for 30 students at a time, optional lesson plans, and a real live resident artist to implement the lesson, if so desired.

This is a flexible program that is extremely user friendly with many advantages for the teacher:
* Art kits can be used just for their materials.
* Art kits can come with specific lesson plans which anyone can implement--teachers or parent volunteers.
* All lesson plans are suitable for Grades K-6.
* The Teton Arts Council can provide a volunteer artist to come into the classroom.
* Lessons can be suited to any time frame, including multi-day units.
* Teachers are encouraged to contact the Teton Arts Council so we can create art lessons to fit your unit of study.

Currently, we have kits for drawing, painting, and printmaking.

Each art kit includes a variety of materials to keep lessons fresh and exciting so that the kit can be used several times without repeating the same lesson.

Please contact the Teton Arts Council to schedule an art lesson in your classroom.  Contact Info: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. New Art Center

The Teton Arts Council is developing a plan for land improvement around the existing Arts Center on Rodeo Drive, Driggs. The land is currently unimproved area but could be so much more. The view of the Grand Teton is tremendous! Our goal for the land improvement will include an outdoor art park with space to hold gatherings, outdoor workshops, and small events. We would love to hear from our Members! Look for invitations to come out this summer and tell us what you think.

Our Sponsors

Many of the programs offered by The Teton Arts Council would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors.  We greatly appreciate your support and participation.

We are equally grateful for the countless members of our community that have stepped up to the plate to volunteer time, talent, and sometimes a little money of their own.

Our Mission

The mission of the Teton Arts Council is to develop, nurture, and celebrate our cultural life through education, performances, exhibitions, and community opportunities.

In 2007, we started the volunteer Resident Artists Program to plan, organize and execute the art programming. These volunteers are well-respected artists who give back to the Artist Community by ensuring that the arts classes and workshops continue to offer compelling and relevant education opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering as a Resident Artist, please contact the Board Chair by sending email to info@tetonartscouncil.com
